I just received few products of ROCHE given out by RCMODEL HK for testing purposes whilst i had bought myself another 2nd batch of Speed Passion 3.5r Motor to power up my Serpent S400 for the coming Keningau Race (13/07/2008).
Products that were sent to me by RC Model are:-
1. ROCHE Brushless Motor Connector
2. ROCHE R4 Super Power Capacitor
3. ROCHE L Shape Type Battery Bar
I found out that this BL Motor connector is very useful for BL Motor User as it’s allow you to solder the wire connection from your ESC to the motor in more secure and more tidier condition. No more worries on the wire connection that might fall off and fail you during the race. Picture shown above is the connector soldered onto the BL motor.
As what i understand, power capacitor is to store Extra power and to release it when the time u need it. I also notice that, after installing the Power Capacitor, it gives you more punch but you have to compensate it with abit shorter runtime from your battery but it will not effect your racing time (5 Minutes). But this product gives you big effect on the motor power’s PUNCH especially if you are running Stock Motor. The ROCHE R4 Super Power Capacitor produces more power efficient than normal Capacitor as it’s claim. I will be using it on this coming HPI Challenge 2008 Round 4 (06/06/2008) for Stock Race and i will compare the power between R4 Capacitor and my Previous capacitor…Stay tune for the result!
L type Battery Bar which normally used by professional/world driver for Direct Soldering purposes from the ESC to the Battery. This ensure better connectivity and to ensure no problem occurs such as connector fall off during race which might be caused by being Banged or hitted by other racer. For the mean time, I dont have any comment on this as i haven’t properly use the Direct Solder method yet but who know that i might be using it in the near future…hehe
Speed Passion v2 3.5r BL motor
This is my 2nd BL motor which being claimed as 2nd Batch of Speedpassion motor. And my comment on this Motor is that it gives me a excellent punch and top speed which has never failed me during the race. As far as i know, there are 5 racers using this motor in local Kota kinabalu and 2 racers in keningau..
The design of this motor is very unique and impressed me as it has so many HOLES…haha.. The purpose is to make d cooling system more efficient. It’s also has built-in FAN for extra cooling. Titanium colour make it even more attractive. World Racer like Billy Easton, Marc Rheinard, Jilles G, and so on are also using this motor too…
