HPI Challenge 2008 Round 4
(06/07/2008)HPI Challenge Round 4 Race was held at HMS,Kolombong which start at around 11 am.15 racers joined the race.
Race started with last “2nd Unfinished Final for HPI Challenge 2008 Round 3(08/06/2008)”. Race led by with Mr. KS Chu followed by Mr. Raff, Mr. Jason …..Within 1 Minutes, Mr. KS Chu made a mistake, which caused Mr. Raff and Mr. Jason to overtook the lead.Within the minute,Mr. Raff still in the 1st position followed by Mr. Jason and Mr. KS Chu in 3rd….After 2 minutes of race, Mr. KS Chu manage to overtook Mr. Jason and then tried to chase the leading car by Mr. Raff. In 3rd minute, KS Chu manages to overtook Mr. Raff but unfortunately ,his attention was distracted by a ….FLY!! Which swarming around and landed on his FACE!Causing him to unable to concentrate in the race thus Mr. Raff got the chance to overlead him again. Mr. Raff and Mr. KS Chu were chasing each other at this minutes. Mr. KS Chu tried his very best to overtake Mr. Raff and he got the chance when Mr. Raff made a mistake by taking corner too wide,with great attempt, Mr. KS Chu took the chance and snip through Left side of Mr. Raff. But once again, he got distracted by the present of “unwelcome visitor” causing Mr. Raff to take over the lead again till the End of the Race. Raff won the Race with 15laps followed by KS Chu 15laps, Jason 15laps
Overall winning for HPI Challenge 2008 Round 3 was still Mr. KS Chu as he got 16laps in the 1st Final the previous race.
After the final, HPI Challenge Round 4 started with Heat 1- Group 2 with Mr. Delbert, Ah lung, Ah Min, Zaldi, Kent, Ryonny and Casye. Zaldi (Wong Ka Lun) took the lead like ANDY Moore in Action while chased Delbert and Kent (this guy is getting very fast suddenly). Zaldi took the TQ for Group 2 with 14laps ( Good Job Man!).
Heat 1 - Group 1 started with Mr. KS Chu, Mr. Raff, Mr. Jason, Mr. Abdullah, Mr. Daniel, Mr. Luther, Mr. Marzuki and Mr. Anthony. Race started with Mr. KS Chu being pressured by Mr. Raff and Mr. Jason at the back. Track traction was not very good as they spray the Sugar treatment unevenly on the asphalt thus making some places have excellent Grip while some places have totally no grip. Everyone car were seen to be having difficulties in traction. Leading were Mr. KS Chu chased by Mr. Raff and Mr. Jason in a very close gap. Any small mistake could make him lose the lead in any minutes. After 5 minutes, Mr. KS Chu still leading in front and he took the TQ for Group 1 with 15laps 5min 13 sec followed by Mr. Raff and Mr. Jason.
Heat 2 - Group 2 started with Zaldi once again leading following by Delbert, Ryonny and Kent at the back. Zaldi ,without any problem led all the way till the end of 5 minute race while Delbert was in 2nd and Ryonny was in 3rd position.
Heat 2 - Group 1. This was the Best Heat because 3 racers were competing to get overall TQ in qualifying. Race Start with Mr. KS Chu car in front, followed by Mr. Raff and Mr. Jason. Just about 1 lap Mr. KS Chu led the race,then Mr. Jason suddenly sped up and overtook Mr. KS Chu and Mr. Raff in the corner. He took the lead from there leaving Mr. KS Chu and Mr. Raff struggling at the back to chase him. While Mr. KS Chu and Mr. Raff struggling at the back, Mr. KS Chu did a mistake and hit the divider which made his front left Swing Shaft broke in the last minute. This made Mr. Raff took the 2nd Place and Mr. Jason took the overall TQ with 15laps 5min 10sec.
Final 1 - B Main. Delbert won the final without any problem with 14laps.
Final 1 - A Main. Race started with Mr.Jason infront, followed by Mr. KS Chu and Mr. Raff. The Race just start about 1 minute, Mr. Raff took the 2nd place from Mr. KS Chu and chasing Mr. Jason. They both in front struggling for 1st Position while followed by Mr. KS Chu at the back. In the 3rd minute of race, Mr. Jason and Mr. Raff hitting each other and Mr. KS Chu avoid the accident and took the chance to lead from there. Mr. Jason and Mr. Raff trying to chase Mr. KS Chu but the time was running very short and this give Mr. KS Chu the winner for A Main with 16laps followed by Mr. Jason 2nd and Mr. Raff 3rd.
Final 2 - B Main. Delbert once again took the overall win for B Main without any problem with 15laps.
Final 2 - A Main. Every racer is very serious and concentrating on this Final. Race start with Mr. Jason leading in 1st lap and Mr. KS Chu took the lead after overtake Mr. Jason in the corner leaving Mr. Jason and Mr. Raff battling at the back. Mr. Raff manages to take the 2nd place from Mr. Jason and chasing Mr. KS Chu all the way from 1st minute till end of the race. Mr. Raff tried every way to overtake Mr. KS Chu but unsuccessful and this make him did a mistake in 3rd minute and Mr. KS Chu leave a long gap from him till 4th minute and once again Mr. Raff was moving fast and getting very close to Mr. KS Chu and pressuring him until the Race finished. Mr. KS Chu took the overall win with 17 laps followed by Mr. Raff 17lap and Mr. Jason 16 lap.
The last Final for A Main was a good battling between Mr. KS Chu (Serpent) and Mr. Raff (Hot Bodies). Lap time was improving and the result just a millisecond different.
Once again Team Serpent dominated Top 3 Position in HPI Challenge 2008. Bravo to Team Serpent..
