Keningau 1/10 GP & EP Fun Race

KENINGAU FUN RACE 1/10 EP/GP Race 13th July 2008, ended with 3 heats and 2 finals. Positioning result, “Top Qualifier” won by Serpent S400 driver, Mr. David Voo with the total laps of 20 in 05:14:251 runtime. Loads of Computer technical problem which lasted for approximately 1 and half hour caused the originally plan for 3 heats and 3 finals shifted to 3 heats and 2 finals. Overall standing also won by Serpent S400 driver, Mr. Jason Shim with 18 laps in exact time of 05:00:00.Came in 2nd position, Hot Bodies driver, Mr. Raphael Chiew also with 18 laps in 05:03:325, followed by Serpents S400 driver, Mr. KS Chu, also with 18 laps in close proximity of 05:03:335 runtime. 4th place took by Serpent driver Mr. David Voo and Tamiya driver, Mr. Abdullah came in 5th. Another Serpent driver came in 9th is Mr. Frankie Che.

There are perceptions by racers and viewers that the result was not satisfactory due to combination of mains (A main & B main) for both finals which had obliviously caused the cars to run in a pack position, hit each other during the race. Cars were running frantically due to the intuition of not to hit or being hit by other cars during final run. Proposed were 5 cars running in both A main and B main in first place, but due to unwanted circumstances, A main and B main combined in the 5 minutes runtime.

The race might be able to finish successfully as planned, if the Race started on time (9.00AM) . Some racers began their journey all the way from KK on Sunday morning as early as 4.30am just because they wanted to join the Race on time but unfortunately the Race started late at 11.30am. This matter caused some racer not happy with the Race. Well, for 1 and a half year that I’ve been joining race locally, I have never experience a Race that starts on time. How the RC in Sabah can be improve when small matter like this cant be solve…..

Here are some pictures from the race….
